Immigration and Naturalization

The Immigration and Naturalization program at Kentucky Refugee Ministries is designed to support clients in all of their immigration needs.

Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Adjustment of Status/Green cards (I-485)
  • Naturalization/Citizenship (N-400)
  • Petitions for Relatives (I-130)
  • Travel Documents (I-131)
  • Employment Authorization Document (I-765)

KRM can help file any of the above named petitions for you or a family member. This program is open to anyone needing such assistance.

CITIZENSHIP

In addition, KRM offers Citizenship Preparation courses in various locations around the city. These classes are designed to help prepare clients for the Naturalization interview, which one must pass in order to become a United States Citizen. Classes cover basic English reading, writing, and speaking, U.S. history and government, as well as review of the N-400 application itself. Those with limited English skills are especially encouraged to attend these classes, as they provide many insights into how to be successful at your interview. These classes are free and open to the community.
