How You Can Help

You Can Help

Kentucky Refugee Ministries depends on the many donations, volunteer hours, and sponsors that work with us to make the resettlement experience a success for our clients.

Volunteer opportunities range from tutoring clients in ESL, to setting up apartments for new arrivals, to doing practice interviews with people preparing for the citizenship interview. Click here for more information.

Donations are a necessity for our families. We use them to set up their new apartments upon arrival. For more information on how you can give and what items are currently in demand, click here.

KRM counts on local churches, religious organizations, and civic groups to help sponsor a refugee or a refugee family. Sponsoring churches and organizations provide useful assistance to refugees during their first three months in the United States. To find out more about sponsoring a refugee, click here.

In addition, KRM is always looking for employers looking to hire refugees. Please click here if you are interested.

Travel Near and Far is the theme of this year's Global Gourmet, KRM's annual fundraiser. If you have a Silent Auction service or item you would like to donate for this year's event, please contact Elizabeth Kaznak at 479-9180 x52.

KRM is currently in need of kitchen tables and chairs and dressers for newly-arriving refugee families. If you have such items to donate, contact Lee Welsh at 479-9180 ext. 14, lwelsh@kyrm.org
